On December 5, 2007, Attorney General Dave Chomiak announced that the
Honourable Roger Salhany, Q.C., former justice of the Ontario Superior Court
will conduct an Inquiry into the investigation, prosecution and justice
services provided to the families in relation to the death of Crystal Taman.
The findings and recommendations of the inquiry will be forwarded to the
Attorney General by September 30, 2008, following which the report will be
made public.
The Inquiry has completed the hearing phase on August 14, 2008. There were a
total 30 days of sitting, 50 witnesses, 252 exhibits filed and 7811 pages of
transcripts.
